No settlement will be made in the event of total loss of interest in the shipment.
All actions deriving from general damage are barred after five years from the date on which the shipment was completed.
The master may refuse to deliver the goods and request their consignment until payment of the contribution due, unless the person entitled to the goods gives sufficient security.
The shipowner is privileged for the payment of general damage contributions on the goods or the price thereof for fifteen days after their delivery, if they have not passed into the hands of third parties.
