
Approval for para-maritime or auxiliary maritime transport professions is subject to the following conditions:
a. The company must be a Public Limited Company (Société anonyme), a société en commandite par action or all other incorporated companies under Cameroonian law;
b. The minimum share capital is set by type of activity as follows:
– For the Maritime Transport Agent: 150,000,000Fcfa
– For type A stevedores: 150,000,000Fcfa
– For type B stevedores: 5,000,000Fcfa
operating on vessels of 250 gross tons or less
– For freight forwarders: 25,000,000Fcfa
– For the Ship Consignee: 50,000,000Fcfa
– For the Shipping Agent: 25,000,000Fcfa
The capital must include a participation of Cameroonian interests in accordance with the provisions of the investment code.
The applicant to the stevedoring profession undertakes to use equipment with a minimum capacity enabling him to comply with the rates set by the Cameroon National Ports Office for loading and unloading ships.
